Lund University's Research Quality Evaluation Project 2020

Let the self-evaluations commence!

We are happy to announce that as of August 15th, the RQ20 project entered its second phase!

Namely, the self-evaluation phase where the research environments, otherwise known as Unit of Assessments, are given the opportunity to reflect upon how well they promote, support and develop research quality.

The RQ20 Office have, in concert with the reference group, identified four general questions that each research environment will explore during the autumn semester:

1) Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats

2) Important events and achievements

3) Benchmarks used in their quality work

4) Major changes during the last decade

There are also more specific issues to be pondered. These adhere to leadership, collegial culture, quality ecosystem and transversal themes.

In addition, all research environments will, in the near future, be provided with a set of background materials that can be used as a backdrop to the self-evaluations. These include but are definitely not limited to financial conditions, publication patterns, impact etc. Our hope is that this material can support the analysis about the research quality and future developments. Our excellent team at the University Library and other sources are currently hard at work to produce this material. We will let you know as soon as it is made available!

Bon courage and you know where to find us if you have any questions!
